This magnificent bronze sculpture is number 5 from a series of 9 produced and signed. Lynn Chadwick was an English sculptor who produced large-scale, somewhat abstract works in bronze and steel. He was known for his improvisational technique of welding metal without sketches or plans, designing as he manipulated his material. His work is in the collections of MoMA in New York, the Tate in London and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
